Improving nutrition among people experiencing homelessness - New report
Providence Row and Homeless Link report and videos provide nutrition key facts and statistics and advice for clients, services and commissioners.
Providence Row has produced a new nutrition report.
The report is based on research conducted in Tower Hamlets and shows that poor nutrition is a significant challenge for people experiencing homelessness and can lead to weakened immunity, delayed recovery from illness and risk of depression and anxiety.
Two animations were also produced based on the recommendations from the research. They give advice on the simple actions that homelessness services can take to improve the consistency and nutrition of the food they provide and help support workers improve clients' awareness of and access to healthy nutrition.
The research was commissioned by Homeless Link and they have also produced their own report based on the findings.
